Campervan and RV Rental in Scotland

Campervan and RV rental in Scotland is the perfect way to explore this beautiful country. Rich history, miles of dramatic coast, and the unforgettable Scottish Highlands are just a taste of what you can experience when you take a campervan on the road.

Our West Scotland campervan road trip provides adventurers with a route to experience the diverse attractions in this friendly country. However, it's just a taste of what you can experience. It's a perfect place to start your journey and even head south to experience Manchester and the rest of the United Kingdom.

Scotland's National Parks

Scotland has two national parks. You can reach Cairngorms National Park by taking your campervan or RV rental vehicle on a drive from Edinburgh to the center of Scotland. Scenic mountains, lakes, and moorlands await. There is a highland wildlife park too, which makes for a great day out for the kids.

The Trossachs National Park has a vast expanse of hills and glens. This Scottish Highlands park contains Lake Lomond and features diverse geology, wildlife, and many other tourist activities, such as hiking, an aquarium, and cycling.

Coastline, Lakes, and Rivers in Scotland

Scotland has a lot of fantastic coastlines. The west coast is spectacular, with the Isle of Skye easily reachable by a bridge in a campervan or RV rental. The Highlands are dotted with superb coastal towns like Oban that feel like you've taken a step back through time.

As mentioned, you can find Loch Lomond in The Trossachs National Park. It's an excellent place for a day out and offers a range of water sports like canoeing, kayaking, surfing, and paddle boarding.

Loch Ness to the east is the famed location of Nessie, a folkloric monster said to inhabit the lake. It's a beautiful and picturesque spot that has been wowing travelers for generations.

Loch Maree is easily one of the most beautiful lakes in Scotland. You can reach it in your RV or campervan rental by traveling to the Highlands. Lots of little islands sprinkled around the lake give the area a sense of magic, while history lovers can also see the remains of a 7th-century monastery on their travels.

Scotland has some excellent rivers too. The River Tay is the longest in the country and passes through three lakes and two cities, Perth and Dundee. The River Morar is, in contrast, Scotland's shortest. However, it has silver beaches, lots of salmon, and its own version of the Loch Ness Monster called Morag.

Campgrounds in Scotland

RV campgrounds in Scotlands are popular and can fill out fast. Follow our camping tips , like booking your place in advance, to avoid disappointment.

Braemar Caravan Park is an excellent campervan site to consider if you are visiting the Cairngorms National Park. It's well-maintained, offers great facilities, and is only a 10-minute walk to a nearby town.

The Milarrochy Bay Camping and Caravanning Club Site is another great place for a campervan or RV rental travelers to stay.
