We picked up the van in excellent condition, very clean and everything as expected! We spent 4 weeks in an odyssey pop top exploring the South Island. Pick-up was really straight forward and Phil (manager) spent time going through an excellent itinerary for our trip. Mars did an excellent tour through of the vehicle and we didn’t have any issues during our trip. Would highly recommend this type of van for an extended trip, we were able to freedom camp for the majority of our trip. We stayed at a campground every couple of days to fill up on water, empty toilet etc. but found we had enough electric to last us a good couple of days! Can’t wait for another Indie Camper adventure 😀

I made a list of suggestions and gave to the employee. On top of that a direct telephone number from the office would be helpful in case of any problem. Very satisfied indeed. Thanks

In autumn perhaps swap the duvets for sleeping bags or something a little bit warmer! BUT we appreciated the local team providing two duvets instead of 1 to help us keep warm! Katelyn and Phillip were fantastic during check in. So helpful and friendly and gave us some top tips. Gave us all the info we needed in a timely manner as we were eager to get going. At check out Katelyn was an absolute star and even dropped us off at the airport! Would 100% recommend using indie campers Christchurch to anyone!

We had a great exprience with Indie campers, we are more than satisfied with the car and also the team was very helpful. Everything was quick and smooth. The staff in Auckland were very kind! Thank you very much for the experience, we will never forget and come back for sure to New Zealand and we will choose Indie camper for sure!

At first glance we didn't notice but inside the fridge there was some ketchup and mayonnaise inside. Some stains of sweet drinks on the panel were visible. Cupboards were a bit dirty Nice and efficient

Nothing to report. Phil at Christchurch was a massive help and provided some great travel tips. He was thorough in showing me around the van and made checking in very pleasurable. Checkout was like check in. Phil and his team were exceptional. I will be using Indie Campers when we travel abroad again. Thanks team!

2 points on the car - no nav system - apple carplay did not connect well More firm pillows would be better; duvets a bit light when wheather is fresh Very pleasant check out; drop off at train appreciated

The bedding was very low quality and should be improved, we left with an error on our pad that led to no hot water for the first 5 days, so that should have not happened. There could be a few more utensils, a flipper, etc for cooking. When we picked our grey was full and flooded in The bathroom. Overall it was a great experience! Loved everything about it.

It would be great if we could have left the top bunk behind at the depot, bit it was a great experience. Highly Recommended. Phil and his team made this a seamless and enjoyable service for an amazing holiday. The Oddessey Van was perfect for 2, leave the top bunk behind though! I'm sure we will return and use Indie Campers again.

Awesome camper truck for 11 days car camping in NZ South Island. Great customer service throughout the entire process. Would repeat with indie campers no doubt. Fixing the fridge functionality would be the only suggestion.

Wheel balancing seemed a bit off. Our initial flight was cancelled, so we had to arrange a later pick up. This was a quest as there was no direct number to the location. The team on online chat was responsive but unhelpful. Instead of explaining that this one was a new location they kept telling us that we cannot pick up the vehicle later, than made a mistake with changing the time. Finally it was solved when they agreed to give a direct number of a person on site: after a good hour of chatting. In a vehicle: would be useful to have some hooks and / or shelves in the trunk to organise the things better. Otherwise all was cool!

Our order wasn’t visible in the system so the starter kit wasn’t prepared - not the agents fault. The handover was a bit rushed and we had to call from taxi mobile to get into the property for pickup. Car is a bit dated and has some maintenance needs ie breaks, leaking tire, sink drain etc. We had a few issues along the way but these were dealt with in a professional manner which is what matters. Easy checkin and checkout procedure. Thank you
